What could you let go of, for the sake of harmo-
RELIGION: :
The belief in and worship of a superhuman power or powers, especially a God or gods.
We are not unique. There’s nothing singular about us having a God and beliefs. There’s religions all over the world who are certain they are right just as we are certain that we are in the right.
Would I reject any and all religion including my own if it would mean restoring “harmony” to this world?
What does harmony mean…?
I looked it up in Webster’s and there are multiple definitions but what caught my eye the most was pretty much the whole thing:
Harmony- agreement; accord; harmonious relations. 2. a consistent, orderly, or pleasing arrangement of parts; congruity.
So pretty much we’re doing a bang up job.
I’m giving up religion.
But never my FAITH.
How could I not see God in the mighty power of the fiercest hurricane, in the forest of trees that whisper His name.
Some people get all bent out of shape because they can’t see God in front of them, therefore He can’t exist. In fact some are so proud as to think their way would have been wiser, and more obvious if they were God themselves.
I just look around me and I stand and observe in wonderment at the mighty, whispering trees, at the ocean waves, the magnanimous mountains and the rumbling thunder storm. How can we be so blind?
“Our God is with us.”

Now, I’m not getting into scientific theory, nor believers pitted against NASA. That’s not what this is about…Actually…that’s exactly what this is about. It’s about RELIGION as an excuse to hate and murder (Which both happen to be BIG Biblical no no’s.)
You know everything was going pretty well until Jesus went up to Heaven and everything He told His followers to do went straight one ear and out the next. The apostles tried to spread the Word as God led them….But the churches were so argumentative and often arguing about the stupidest things, there was no room for the Holy Spirit to work in the lives of the saved or the lost because the Christians were fighting and tearing families, centuries old, apart.
Fast forward;
Nothings changed.
Hate oozes from many Christian churches and organizations. What if we actually LOVED the lost, the searching, the ones with Schizophrenic alcoholic and Bi Polar disorders? What if we showed them what it means to to be like JESUS; to SHOW them the incomparable love of Jesus.
The level of hate and disgust radiating from believers I’ve grown up around my whole life has turned them into strangers and sadly …enemies to me.
What would I give up?
RELIGION.
But I couldn’t ever imagine not having my foundation; my faith.
I won’t be a part of this corrosive system anymore. I will not proudly stand up and say ”I am a Christian.“ I no longer can. When asked what I belive in, who and what I support; I’ll say, “I want to be like Jesus.
We will adapt.
