The Inside Story. Part 11

Hi there, its been a long time since I’ve posted on my blog, but it hasn’t ever left my mind. I kind of left you on a cliffhanger and I’ve been trying to figure how best to describe how I felt at that horrible, nightmare of a time in my life.

And then Isaac introduced me to this song.

This song describes PRECISELY what I was going through at that time; how I had fallen into a deep hole and it was rapidly filling up with water. It seemed like millions of people, friends, even family and the ones I thought, “They can save me.” just walked by. I would strain to raise my hand desperately for help as they walked by, and no one (not yet) would give me their hand… It wasn’t that these were horrible people; that wouldn’t be fair at all. I just hoped they could see it in my eyes. I couldn’t speak it, they’d have to see it in my eyes…But thats not how life works! YOU MUST ASK FOR HELP. I was at the end. This is exactly how I felt.

Drown

Lyrics

What doesn’t kill you
Makes you wish you were dead
Got a hole in my soul growing deeper and deeper
And I can’t take
One more moment of this silence
The loneliness is haunting me
And the weight of the world’s getting harder to hold up

It comes in waves, I close my eyes
Hold my breath and let it bury me
I’m not OK and it’s not alright
Won’t you drag the lake and bring me home again

Who will fix me now?
Dive in when I’m down?
Save me from myself
Don’t let me drown
Who will make me fight?
Drag me out alive?
Save me from myself
Don’t let me drown

What doesn’t destroy you
Leaves you broken instead
Got a hole in my soul growing deeper and deeper
And I can’t take

One more moment of this silence
The loneliness is haunting me
And the weight of the worlds getting harder to hold up

It comes in waves, I close my eyes
Hold my breath and let it bury me
I’m not OK and it’s not alright
Won’t you drag the lake and bring me home again

Who will fix me now?
Dive in when I’m down?
Save me from myself
Don’t let me drown
Who will make me fight?
Drag me out alive?
Save me from myself
Don’t let me drown

‘Cause you know that I can’t do this on my own
‘Cause you know that I can’t do this on my own
‘Cause you know that I can’t do this on my own

Who will fix me now?
Who will fix me now?

Who will fix me now?
Dive in when I’m down?
Save me from myself
Don’t let me drown
